02 Recruiting Process

of the team

1. Online application

Applications for all of our positions can be submitted easily and directly through our application portal. In order to correctly process your application documents, we require the following documents: CV, cover letter and contact details.

For apprentices, we are happy to organize an apprentice day, during which a short apprentice test takes place. As part of this apprentice test, applicants can demonstrate their knowledge and skills. The following subject areas are covered: commercial subjects, German, English and general knowledge.

2. Job interview

If the profile matches our requirements, we invite applicants to an interview in order to get to know them better and give them the opportunity to learn more about the open position. This interview can take place either as a video call or in person and takes approximately 30–60 minutes.

3. Trial day

After a successful interview, we are happy to invite applicants to a trial day. This gives applicants the opportunity to get to know not only the tasks, but also their future team and workplace.

4. Acceptance

Once a suitable match has been found after completing the application process, the professional journey with the ANANTARA Group begins.

What are your main responsibilities in the company? How would you describe your job?

My main responsibilities include leading the team and working on content in the area of controlling. This includes the planning, management and monitoring of various business areas. In our context, controlling means analyzing the company’s economic situation. We provide management with figures, facts and potential for improvement in order to support well-founded decisions and the company effectively.

What do you enjoy? Why do you like working here? What is the most exciting part of your job?

I enjoy looking for ways to optimize work processes in order to improve profitability. Analyzing and improving processes is particularly appealing to me. After analyzing a process, I find it exciting to implement new processes and review whether the desired goals have been achieved. It is fascinating to see whether the chosen path leads to the desired result, because there is never just one way to reach a goal. The process of turning chaos into structure is also a challenge that I enjoy.

What qualities do you need for this job? What would you like to pass on to applicants?

Controlling offers an extremely exciting field of work that requires both analytical skills and creativity in order to move the company forward. Patience and perseverance are important qualities, as it takes time to understand complex processes. A positive attitude and a friendly nature are essential in a team, as they have a significant influence on the working atmosphere. Professional weaknesses can be compensated for with willpower and commitment; a positive attitude enriches the team and contributes to a harmonious working environment.

Nela Marjanovic

Front Office Allrounder

What are your main responsibilities in the company? How would you describe your job?

As a Front Office Allrounder, my main responsibilities include being the first point of contact for our customers and business partners — in person, by phone or by email. It is also important to look after them and to keep the meeting rooms clean and tidy at all times. However, I am not only the contact person for external partners and customers, but also for internal colleagues. I manage internal purchasing for all kinds of office supplies. I am also in constant contact with our shops if they have problems ordering through our accounts. My role has many facets, including customer care, purchasing and front office work.

What do you enjoy? Why do you like working here? What is the most exciting part of your job?

I enjoy the variety in my work. Every day brings new challenges, whether it is contact with colleagues or customer inquiries. The positive working atmosphere and the opportunity to contribute and implement suggestions for improvement also motivate me. It is exciting that my work is not monotonous, but brings new aspects every day.

What I really like about the ANANTARA Group is the working atmosphere. I am surrounded by nice and friendly colleagues every day. Suggestions for improvement are listened to and implemented. That is why I think it is great that every voice in our company counts and is heard.

What qualities do you need for this job? What would you like to pass on to applicants?

I would advise applicants not to give up right at the beginning. Just be patient and do not throw in the towel in the first few days or weeks. If things are difficult or problems arise, always address them openly, because people here will listen. It is a daily development process, and you should at least wait until the probation period is over before forming a full impression of the company.

Alireza Ghane

IT Apprentice

What are your main responsibilities in the company? How would you describe your job?

As an IT apprentice in our company, I am responsible for the IT equipment warehouse, including monitoring incoming deliveries and ordering required devices. My tasks also include preparing IT equipment and providing Level 1 and Level 2 IT support, which involves resolving problems when a device is not working or something is missing.

What do you enjoy? Why do you like working here? What is the most exciting part of your job?

I especially enjoy working here because I have the opportunity to continuously learn new things, particularly when dealing with different devices and technologies. Working here allows me to improve my hardware skills and use them in the best possible way. I also enjoy communicating with others and helping them set up their devices. I find it particularly exciting to prepare devices such as MacBooks, set up access, install printers and ensure that everything runs smoothly and meets the needs of our employees.

What qualities do you need for this job? What would you like to pass on to applicants?

For this apprenticeship, it is important to have a solid understanding of digital technologies and a personal interest in this field, as technology is constantly evolving. A strong willingness to learn is important in order to keep up with the latest developments and continue developing your skills. Strong organizational skills are also required in order to structure workflows efficiently and set priorities. Good communication skills are important for communicating effectively with colleagues and other departments and for explaining technical information clearly. In addition, strong problem-solving skills are essential for resolving IT issues quickly and effectively.
